Kino Lorber: Straight Shooting and Mädchen in Uniform Prepped for Blu-ray

Kino Lorber have detailed two upcoming Blu-ray releases: John Ford's Straight Shooting (1917) and Leontine Sagan's Mädchen in Uniform (1931). The two releases will be available for purchase on July 14.

Straight Shooting

Synopsis: Cattleman Flint cuts off farmer Sims' water supply. When Sims' son Ted goes for water, one of Flint's men kills him. Cheyenne is then sent to finish off Sims, but finding the family at the newly dug grave, he changes sides. Directed by John Ford, and starring Harry Carey, Duke R. Lee, and George Berrell. Mädchen in Uniform

Synopsis: After the death of her mother, teenage Manuela (Hertha Thiele) is sent off to a boarding school run by the autocratic Fräulein von Nordeck (Emilia Unda). Initially withdrawn from the other girls due to her grief and anger at being sent away, Manuela is drawn out of her shell by the beautiful and sympathetic young teacher Elizabeth von Bernburg (Dorothea Wieck). But when Manuela's fondness for her teacher turns into a romantic attachment, it becomes a school-wide scandal.
