Kino Lorber have officially announced that they will release on Blu-ray Kleber Mendonça Filho's film Bacurau (2019), starring Bárbara Colen, Thomas Aquino, and Silvero Pereira. The release will be available for purchase on July 14th.
Synopsis: One of the best-reviewed movies of 2020, Bacurau is a sci-fi revenge thriller in which the forgotten denizens of a small Brazilian town fight back against Western invaders.
Bacurau was Brazil's runner-up for the 'Best Foreign Language Film' category at the 92nd Academy Awards in 2020; the official submission went to Invisible Life (2019). Both were deemed as favorites by audiences and critics.
