Upcoming 88 Films Blu-ray Releases

British distributors 88 Films have revealed that they are planning to add five new titles to their Blu-ray catalog: Dragon Lord (1982), The Fearless Hyena (1979), The Eight Immortals Restaurant: The Untold Story (1993), Witchery (1988), and 42nd Street Memories: The Rise and Fall of America's Most Notorious Street (2015).

Witchery

Synopsis: A photographer (David Hasselhoff) and others (Linda Blair, Catherine Hickland) are stranded at a Massachusetts island hotel haunted by a woman in black. Directed by Fabrizio Laurenti.

Dragon Lord

Synopsis: The adventures of a restless martial arts student called Dragon, who, while constantly pursuing a girl, gets involved in the affairs of a gang of thieves. Starring Jackie Chan, Ing-Sik Whang, Cam Clarke, Mars, and Michael Wai-Man Chan.

The Fearless Hyena

Synopsis: Hard-hitting, action-packed and always exciting, this is the classic martial arts film that brought Jackie Chan out of Bruce Lee's shadow and made him an international superstar.

Chan is Shing Lung, a funny country boy who is secretly learning a lost style of Kung Fu from his grandfather. Against his grandfather's wishes, he fights in the local village for money. Then, an evil clan leader recognizes his ancient fighting style and kills his grandfather. Now, he must finish his training with another Master and revenge the death of one of his own.

Directed by Jackie Chan, this landmark film features inventive fighting choreography and Chan's trademark humor and stunts, including a fight in drag.

The Eight Immortals Restaurant: The Untold Story

Synopsis: In a riveting performance that won him 1993's Hong Kong Film Award for Best Actor, Anthony Wong stars as the owner/chef of the Eight Immortals Restaurant, where the original owner and his family mysteriously disappear. As the police, led by Danny Lee, intensify their investigation, they gradually uncover the shocking truth. Definitely not for the squeamish, "The Untold Story" is also an intelligent character study filled with dark humor touches. And remember... it actually happened! Directed by Herman Yau.

42nd Street Memories
