Kino Lorber have announced that they will release on Blu-ray Akan Satayev's film The Road to Mother (2016), starring Bolat Abdilmanov, Adil Akhmetov, and Berik Aytzhanov. The release will be available for purchase on May 5.
Synopsis: The story of several generations of a Kazakh family from the 1930s to the present time, the film traces the most momentous events in the history of Kazakhstan through war, separation and the determination of the clan to remain united.
The Road to Mother was the official submission of Kazakhstan for the 'Best Foreign Language Film' category of the 90th Academy Awards in 2018.
