Vote for the Blu-ray Deal of the Day at Amazon

Amazon has summoned its Blu-ray customers to vote for the title that will be featured in one of the Deals of the Day of next week (which has been proclaimed "high-def week"). The etailer has repeatedly stated its belief in Blu-ray leadership and invested resources in creating a "great destination for learning about, discovering and buying Blu-ray." This latest initiative is part of that approach.

Last week Amazon held a similar vote to let its customers determine the next Blu-ray release by the Criterion Collection.

For this vote, Amazon has selected five diverse box sets and collections:

• Sony's Superhero Blu-ray Collection Blu-ray ('Spider-Man' / 'Spider-Man 2' / 'Spider-Man 3' / 'Underworld' / 'Underworld: Evolution' / 'Ghost Rider' / 'Hellboy')
• New Line's Austin Powers Collection ('International Man of Mystery' / 'The Spy Who Shagged Me' / 'Goldmember')
• Warner's Ocean's Trilogy ('Ocean's Eleven' / 'Ocean's Twelve' / 'Ocean's Thirteen')
• Universal's The Mummy Trilogy ('The Mummy' / 'The Mummy Returns' / 'The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor')
• Fox's 'Firefly: The Complete Series'
