Raro Video: More Italian Genre Titles Heading to Blu-ray

Raro Video will add four new Italian genre films to its Blu-ray catalog. They are: Roberto Infascelli's The Great Kidnapping (1973), Paolo Heusch and Brunello Rondi's Violent Life (1962), Alfonso Brescia's Naples...The Camorra Challenges,The City Hits Back (1979), and Toni D'Angelo's Falchi (2017). The four releases are expected to arrive on the market later this year.

The Great Kidnapping

Synopsis: A small-time homicidal maniac kidnaps the daughter of a rich man, prompting a hardened detective to work outside the law to pursue him. An ambitious narcotics agent relentlessly pursues a wealthy industrialist responsible for a large-scale drug operation. Cinematography by Riccardo Pallottini (Castle of Blood). Soundtrack by Stelvio Cipriani (Rabid Dogs). Starring Enrico Maria Salerno, Lee J. Cobb, Jean Sorel, Luciana Paluzzi, and Claudio Gora.

Violent Life

Synopsis: Synopsis: Based on the novel by Pier Paolo Pasolini. A young thug develops a social conscience during a spell in hospital, but after it motivates him to rescue a prostitute from drowning, he contracts tuberculosis which kills him. Starring Franco Citti (Accattone), Serena Vergano (Justine de Sade), Enrico Maria Salerno (The Bird With the Crystal Plumage), and Angelo Maria Santiamantini.

Naples...The Camorra Challenges,The City Hits Back

Synopsis: Naples. The insurance company "La Proteggici", headed by the boss Alberto Rampone, uses a gang of mafia camorristi headed by the Sicilian Vito Santoro to threaten merchants and freelancers of the city in order to convince them to sign policies. Cinematography by Luciano Trasatti (I Vitelloni). Starring Mario Merola, Antonio Sabato, Jeff Blynn, Rik Battaglia, ucio Montanaro, and Sabrina Siani.

Falchi

Synopsis: In Naples, two agents of a police unit that investigates organized crime allow their dedication to their jobs to impact their private lives. Starring Fortunato Cerlino, Michele Riondino, and Aniello Arena.
