Kino Lorber announced today that they have canceled the previously confirmed upcoming 4K Blu-ray release of
The Man with No Name Trilogy.
However, the label has confirmed that additional 4K Blu-ray projects are in the pipeline for 2020.
Here's the announcement: "The tentative release of the Leone/Eastwood 'Man with No Name' trilogy on 4K Blu-ray is now cancelled. We know this news is very disappointing to the fans of the films and format, as it is to us, but after some extensive tests and potential costs of creating newly color-graded HDR Dolby Vision masters, we decided to confirm this cancellation.
We will continue to support the format and plan to release three yet-to-be-announced titles on 4K Blu-ray in 2020, and are working on some more projects."
