Kino Lorber have confirmed that they will release on Blu-ray Budd Boetticher's film Wings of the Hawk (1953), starring Van Heflin, Julie Adams, George Dolenz, Noah Beery Jr., and Rodolfo Acosta. The release is expected to arrive on the market early next year.
Synopsis: American tycoon Irish Gallager (Van Heflin) is working in Mexico, where he unearths gold. But just after he makes this lucrative discovery, crooked government official Col. Paco Ruiz (George Dolenz) steps in and unjustly seizes Irish's mine. Irish isn't one to take this kind of corruption lying down, and he attempts to rally against Ruiz, only to find himself hotly pursued by the Mexican military. But female guerrilla Raquel Noriega (Julia Adams) and her followers lend Irish a helping hand.
