The British Film Institute has provided an exclusive new trailer for the theatrical re-release of Federico Fellini's classic film La Dolce Vita (1960). Restored in 4K, the film will return to UK cinemas on January 3rd.

In 2020, La Dolce Vita will celebrate its 60th anniversary.

Synopsis: An era-defining fresco of life among the glitterati in early 1960s Rome.

Casting a typically critical eye over the world of celebrity, Fellini's epic La Dolce Vita stands as a towering achievement of 1960s cinema. The episodic narrative follows jaded journalist Marcello Rubini (Mastroianni) as he moves across the Eternal City uncovering gossip on movie stars and other VIPs. The film famously spawned the term 'paparazzo' which came to describe a certain type of relentless celebrity photographer.
