Vinegar Syndrome has announced its first 4K Blu-ray release: a brand new 4K restoration of Stewart Raffill's film
Tammy and the T-Rex (1994), starring Denise Richards, Paul Walker, Ellen Dubin, Terry Kiser, and George 'Buck' Flower. The release will be available for purchase during the Black Friday weekend (which starts on November 29).
Statement from the label:
"We founded VS in 2012 with the mission to restore and preserve genre films and make them available for home viewing in the highest possible quality. When we started out, Blu-ray was still a luxury with some customers even preferring DVD-only editions. However, starting this year, after mounting enthusiasm, we opted to go all-Blu and have been happy to see you embrace this decision.
Now, with 4k Ultra HD becoming more and more of a reality in the home video world, we are thrilled to announce that after months of internal debate and research that TAMMY AND THE T-REX will be available in a UHD edition with Dolby Vision HDR!
We hope that this will be the first of many UHD releases in our future, but now the choice is yours: if you want to see more of the sorts of movies that no one else would dare release in UHD find a home in the format, take your stand and make your opinion known. We feel that the time is now to start bringing the wild and wonderful horror, sleaze, and weirdness you've come to expect from VS to the best possible home viewing format."
