For the week that ended on October 12th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Toy Story 4 debuted at number one on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media charts. Ostensibly the final film in the Toy Story franchise, this fourth entry connected with both critics and audience last July. The film garnered very strong critical notices (it has a Metacritic score of 84%), and it earned over $1 billion worldwide on top of its estimated $200 million production budget. This week, Toy Story 4 had a terrific HD market share of 82%.

Next up on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales rankings was Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and Marvel's Spider-Man: Far from Home. A sequel to both Spider-Man: Homecoming and Avengers: Endgame, Far from Home was one of 2018's biggest hits. The film netted decent critical notices (a Metacritic score of 69%, for example) and made over $1.1 billion worldwide on top of its estimated $160 million production budget. Far From Home had a strong Blu-ray market share of 71% and sold 24% as many Blu-rays and 28% as many total units as Toy Story 4.

Finally, New Line and Warner Home Entertainment's recent Annabelle Comes Home rounded out the top three on the Blu-ray-only sales rankings. The latest installment in Warner and New Line's Conjuring Universe was quietly one of 2019's biggest sleeper hits. Although the film scored mediocre critical notices (it has a 53% rating on Metacritic), it ended up grossing over $228 million worldwide on top of its estimated $32-million production budget. Annabelle Comes Home had an HD market share of 48% and sold 6% as many Blu-rays as Toy Story 4. Regarding the overall package-media chart, the film came in fourth place (behind Disney's Hocus Pocus) and sold 10% as many total units as the Pixar hit.
