Doppelgänger Releasing, the genre arm of Music Box Films, and Bloody Disgusting will release on Blu-ray Adam Krause's film Gags the Clown. The release will be available for purchase on November 26.
Synopsis: A small city in Wisconsin is terrorized by a mysterious clown who roams the streets late at night with nothing more than a handful of black balloons. The local news stations scramble to break the story on who he is and what he wants while a group of high schoolers see the clown's arrival as an excuse to create a little trouble themselves. The police try to maintain order in a city that has gone clown crazy and a conservative podcast host vows to put a stop to the clown known as Gags while broadcasting his "clown hunt" on social media for the world to see.
"Gags the Clown is a scary, creatively shot and often-times humorous look at how the arrival of one mysterious clown can turn a city upside down and inside out…literally," said filmmaker Adam Krause.
In 2016, director Adam Krause released his short film "Gags" and won Best Director at the Madtown Horror Film Festival and the Above and Beyond Award at the Green Bay Film Festival.
