Upcoming Kino Video Blu-ray Releases Detailed

Kino Video have dated and detailed a number of upcoming Blu-ray releases. Amongst them are: Farewell, Friend (1968), Someone Behind the Door (1971), and Diabolically Yours (1967).

Farewell, Friend a.k.a. Honor Amongst Thieves

Synopsis: Years after serving together in the French Foreign Legion, American soldier of fortune Franz Propp and French doctor Dino Barron are unexpectedly reunited under the most extraordinary circumstances. Hoping to help a friend who has embezzled some bonds, Barron tries to break into a safe in the dead of night. Sneaking into an underground vault he is surprised to discover that his old pal Propp is also on the premises, likewise intending to crack the safe, albeit for his own benefit. After a few awkward moments, a friendship develops between the two as they try to get out from the locked vault. Directed by Jean Herman. Starring Alain Delon, Charles Bronson, Olga Georges-Picot, Brigitte Fossey, and Bernard Fresson.

Diabolically Yours

Synopsis: Screen legend Alain Delon (Un Flic, The Sicilian Clan) stars in this provocative French thriller as a wealthy man at the center of an extraordinary plot after a car crash leaves him unable to remember who he is. With his wife (Senta Berger, Cast a Giant Shadow) convinced he is faking his amnesia, he sets out to discover who and why someone wants him to believe he is going crazy and should end his life. Wonderfully directed by Julien Duvivier (Panique) and beautifully shot by Henri Decaë (Le Samouraï). Co-starring Peter Mosbacher (The Face of Fu Manchu) and Sergio Fantoni (Hornets' Nest).

Someone Behind the Door

Synopsis: Screen legends Charles Bronson (Rider on the Rain, Mr. Majestyk) and Anthony Perkins (Psycho, Five Miles to Midnight) co-star in this suspenseful thriller directed by Nicolas Gessner (The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane). Laurence Jeffries (Perkins) is a neurosurgeon dedicated to his research and neglectful of his beautiful wife Francis (Jill Ireland, Breakheart Pass), who leaves him for another man. The vindictive doctor plots a diabolical scheme—conditioning an amnesiac patient (Bronson) into believing that Francis is his own wife—so that he can take revenge by proxy, with a perfect alibi. Bronson gives one of his best and most convincing performances in this dark tale of deceit and hardened emotions. Beautifully shot by legendary DP Pierre Lhomme (Cyrano de Bergerac, Camille Claudel).

Synopsis: Sam Martin (Audie Murphy) owns a charter boat in the Florida Keys. He also has a serious gambling problem and mounting debts. His wife, Lucy (Patricia Owens), and first mate, Harvey (Everett Sloane), have managed to keep him out of serious trouble. However, when Sam suddenly finds himself on the brink of bankruptcy, he resorts to helping crooked weapons dealer Hanagan (Eddie Albert) smuggle guns into Cuba. But things get ugly for Sam when the scheme expands to include murder.

Return to Macon County

Synopsis: Two small-town teenagers, drag racer Bo (Nick Nolte) and mechanic Harley (Don Johnson), embark on a road trip from Georgia to California with the intention of entering a drag-racing contest. But it's not long before the innocent-minded friends realize this journey will bring them more than they bargained for. Trouble greets them in the form of a runaway waitress (Robin Mattson) who insists on traveling with them and a police sergeant (Robert Viharo) who is determined to throw them in jail.
