Scream Factory/Shout Factory Reveal More Than a Dozen Upcoming Releases at Comic-Con

Earlier tonight at Comic-Con in San Diego, Shout Factory/Scream Factory announced that they are preparing a number of new Blu-ray releases. Amongst them are: Dr Jekyll & Sister Hyde (1971), Let's Scare Jessica to Death (1971), Silver Bullet (1985), and My Bloody Valentine (1981).

My Bloody Valentine: Collector's Edition

Synopsis: Twenty years ago in the sleepy mining town of Valentine Bluffs, a fatal mining disaster occurred on Valentine's Day while key members of the crew were decorating for a party. The sole survivor of the accident killed the absentee crew members and warned the town never to have another Valentine's Day celebration. When a group of teenagers decides that the the town has gone without a party long enough and begin planning one, a murderous maniac in mining gear begins dispatching townsfolk in bloody and creative ways.

Road Games

Synopsis: An Australian trucker (Stacy Keach) picks up a hitchhiking heiress (Jamie Lee Curtis) and the trail of a killer in a green van.

Dr Jekyll and Sister Hyde

Synopsis: Blackly comic variation on the classic tale, in which the good doctor, experimenting with ways to prolong life, tests the formula on himself and metamorphoses into a beautiful woman. His alter ego turns out to have a very nasty streak, killing prostitutes who, terrified of Jack the Ripper, believe they have nothing to fear from a woman.

The Fan

Synopsis: Broadway star Sally (Lauren Bacall) is successful, famous and working on a new musical. But she's in love with ex-husband Jake (James Garner), and his absence creates a void in her life. Despite her loneliness, she doesn't reciprocate when a fan, Douglas (Michael Biehn), starts sending her letters. This angers the delusional admirer so much that he starts getting violent. With secretary Belle (Maureen Stapleton) and others caught up in the drama, Sally's career and well-being are jeopardized.

Prophecy

Synopsis: When a dispute occurs between a logging operation and a nearby Native American tribe, Dr. Robert Verne (Robert Foxworth) and his wife, Maggie (Talia Shire), are sent in to mediate. Chief John Hawks (Armand Assante) insists the loggers are poisoning the water supply, and, though company man Isley (Richard Dysart) denies it, the Vernes can't ignore the strangely mutated wildlife roaming the woods. Robert captures a bear cub for testing and soon finds himself the target of an angry mutant grizzly.

Pet Sematary Two

Synopsis: When his mother, Renee (Darlanne Fluegel), dies, young Jeff Matthews (Edward Furlong) moves back to his hometown with his father, Chase (Anthony Edwards). Jeff grows friendly with Drew Gilbert (Jason McGuire) at school, who tells him about the Indian burial grounds that bring people and animals back to life, which led to the deaths of the Creed family who used to live in town. Desperately missing his mom, Jeff ignores warnings and buries her corpse, only to have her return in deadly zombie form.

The Abominable Snowman

Synopsis: British scientist John Rollason (Peter Cushing) is studying plants in the Himalayas with his wife (Maureen Connell) while he waits for his American associate, Tom Friend (Forrest Tucker). When Friend arrives, Rollason accompanies him on a trip to find the mysterious creature Yeti, along with Friend's partner (Robert Brown) and a guide (Michael Brill) who claims he can find the beast. The group proceeds despite warnings. However, the trip quickly becomes more dangerous than they had anticipated.

Big Trouble in Little China: Collector's Edition/SteelBook

Synopsis: Kurt Russell plays hard-boiled truck driver Jack Burton, who gets caught in a bizarre conflict within, and underneath, San Francisco's Chinatown. An ancient Chinese prince and Chinatown crime lord has kidnapped a beautiful green-eyed woman, who is the fiancee to Jack's best friend. Jack must help his friend rescue the girl before the evil Lo Pan uses her to break the ancient curse that keeps him a fleshless and immortal spirit.

The Wizard

Synopsis: After his little brother, Jimmy (Luke Edwards), is put in a mental institution, Corey (Fred Savage) breaks him out and the pair run off together to California. On their travels, Corey meets a girl named Haley (Jenny Lewis) and discovers that Jimmy is a master at playing video games. With talents like his, he could easily win the top prize of $50,000 at Video Armageddon. While the three travelers hitchhike to the competition, the boys' parents hire a bounty hunter to track them down.

Very Bad Things

Synopsis: Kyle Fisher (Jon Favreau) heads to Las Vegas for a bachelor party with four friends. When one of them accidentally kills a hired stripper and a security guard finds the body, unstable Boyd (Christian Slater) kills the guard to keep him from calling the cops, then organizes the group to dispose of the corpses. Back home, Kyle is troubled and has difficulty hiding his worries from his fiancée (Cameron Diaz). Meanwhile, to ensure his own safety, Boyd begins killing the others.

Brewster's Millions

Synopsis: After losing his position as a minor-league pitcher, Montgomery Brewster (Richard Pryor) learns his great-uncle has left him $300 million. To inherit it, Brewster must spend $30 million in 30 days under a complicated set of rules that forbid him from donating too much to charity or retaining any new assets when the period is up. Unable to share details about the will's odd conditions with anyone, Brewster sets out to spend his money under the stern eye of paralegal Angela Drake (Lonette McKee).

Let's Scare Jessica to Death

Synopsis: Newly released from a mental ward, Jessica (Zohra Lampert) hopes to return to life the way it was before her nervous breakdown. But when Jessica moves to a country house with her husband (Barton Heyman) and a close friend (Kevin O'Connor), she finds a mysterious girl living in there who may or may not be a vampire. Jessica's terror and paranoia resurface as evil forces surround her, making her wonder: Are the visions real or is she slipping back into madness?

Dracula

Synopsis: A man washes ashore in England after a shipwreck and is found by Mina Van Helsing (Jan Francis). The man introduces himself as Count Dracula (Frank Langella) of Transylvania, and proceeds to integrate himself into the lives of Mina and her friend Lucy Seward (Kate Nelligan). However, when Mina dies and her father, Prof. Van Helsing (Laurence Olivier), attributes her death to a vampire, evidence indicates that Count Dracula is the monster, and Lucy is his next target.

Twins

Synopsis: The products of a genetic experiment, fraternal twins Julius (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Vincent (Danny DeVito) are separated at birth. Their mother, Mary Ann (Bonnie Bartlett), is told they're dead. Now Vincent, an unscrupulous street hustler, ekes out a living in Los Angeles. Julius, raised by a scientist (Tony Jay), grows up humble, intelligent and strong, but very naive about the larger world. When Julius learns of his mother and brother, he heads to Los Angeles to find his family.

Stephen King's Silver Bullet

Synopsis: When a series of unexplained murders occurs in the normally quiet town of Tarker's Mill, the residents decide to hunt down the killer. However, many of these vigilantes end up dead, and those who don't are no closer to finding an assailant. But, when a young wheelchair-using boy named Marty (Corey Haim) encounters a werewolf one night, the pieces begin to come together. Along with his sister and Uncle Red (Gary Busey), Marty begins a mission to capture the werewolf once and for all.

Synopsis: Bill Chrushank (Jeff Fahey) is a criminal psychologist who loses his arm and nearly his life in a grisly car accident A daring medical operation follows in which a donor's arm is successfully grafted onto Bill's body. But after the operation, the arm starts to take on a violent life of its own, striking out against Bill's wife and children. Consumed by fears about his dangerous behavior, Bill is driven to learn donor's identity - a horrifying discovery that delivers him into a world of unimaginable terror. Co-starring Brad Dourif (Graveyard Shift).

Universal Horror Volume 3

Synopsis: Another round of early classic horror films are on tap with Tower of London (1939), Man Made Monster (1941), The Black Cat (1941) and Horror Island (1941). Expected Release: December 2019.

The Fly Collection

Synopsis: The insect-morphing franchise buzzes into town in a complete set that includes the original terrors The Fly (1958), Return of the Fly (1959), Curse of the Fly (1965) as well as the horrifying reboots The Fly (1986) and The Fly II (1989). We're setting this packaging up just like we did recently for Critters and The Omen collections (Rigid slipcase, individual cases). Expected Release: December 2019.

Night of the Demons

Last year we unleashed the limited-edition "Angela" character… but we all know she needs her friends to party with! Terrifying "Suzanne" and "Stooge" demons are ready to let loose and will be sold as a 2-pack with an expected release before Halloween 2019.

The Slumber Party Massacre

The 1982 driller-killer slasher classic will see its central villain "Russ Thorn" getting the toy treatment. New Steelbook packaging plus a new 4K scan of the film is also in the works. Expected release date: January 2020.
