For the week that ended on July 13th, Paramount Home Media Distribution's Pet Sematary debuted at number one on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media charts. This latest adaptation of Stephen King's violent supernatural thriller, Pet Sematary was a modest success following its release last April. While the film netted so-so critical comments (it has a 57% rating on Metacritic), it ended up grossing almost $55 million domestically on top of its estimated $21-million production budget. This week, Pet Sematary had a Blu-ray market share of 59%.

Next up on the Blu-ray-only sales ranking was Disney and Marvel's Captain Marvel. The MCU's first female-centric superhero story, Captain Marvel proved a sizable hit following its North American release last March. The film garnered very decent critical comments (it has a 64% rating on Metacritic), and it then went on to gross over $1.1 billion worldwide on top of its estimated $152-million production budget. The film had a very good Blu-ray market share of 72% and sold 97% as many Blu-rays as Pet Sematary. On the overall package-media chart, Captain Marvel came in third place and sold 79% as many total units as Pet Sematary.

Finally, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment's Dumbo rounded out the top three on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales lists. Director Tim Burton's live-action remake of Disney's iconic 1941 animated feature, Dumbo struggled to connect with critics and audiences last March. The film got mediocre critical comments (it has a 51% rating on Metacritic), and it then went on to gross $114 million domestically on top of its estimated $170-million production budget. Regarding the Blu-ray-only sales list, the film had an HD market share of 60% and sold 92% as many Blu-rays as Pet Sematary. On the overall package-media rankings, Dumbo came in second place and sold 90% as many total units as the Stephen King chiller.
