Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will bring to Blu-ray two catalog titles: Alan Parker's Birdy (1984) and Ida Lupino's The Trouble with Angels (1966). The two releases will be available for purchase on June 25.

The Trouble with Angels

Synopsis: Hayley Mills plays Mary Clancy, who, with her best friend Rachel Devery (June Harding), succeeds in driving the Mother Superior (Rosalind Russell) to distraction with an endless number of practical jokes. Just when there appears to be no hope for the school's two most incorrigible students, they get a little help from Sisters Celestine (Binnie Barnes) and Constance (Camilla Sparv). During Christmas break, Mary remains at the school and is touched by the Sisters' celebration of the Yule. Rachel first doubts Mary's sincerity, but later follows Mary's example. Their graduation is both a relief and celebration for the Mother Superior.

Birdy

Synopsis: Birdy (Matthew Modine) returns from the Vietnam War scarred from the horrific experiences of battle. He is so damaged by what he saw that he has shut himself off from reality completely, imaging that he is actually a bird. Birdy is confined to a mental hospital, where the doctors are at a loss as to how to treat him. In an attempt to help, Al (Nicolas Cage), his best friend from high school -- and who was also in Vietnam -- visits him every day to try and get through to him.
