Kino: Three Classic Gangster Films with Jean Gabin Detailed for Blu-ray

Kino Lorber have detailed for Blu-ray three classic gangster films with Jean Gabin: Marcel Carné's Port of Shadows (1938), Jacques Becker's Touchez Pas au Grisbi (1954), and Henri Decoin's Razzia sur la chnouf. The three releases will be available for purchase on August 13.
Synopsis: Jean (Jean Gabin) is an army deserter who arrives in Le Havre, France, planning to leave the country on one of the many ships anchored there. He gets distracted in the foggy port city, however, when he falls in love with the lovely Nelly (Michèle Morgan). While the lovers meet Jean faces some sinister competition, as Nelly is caught between the influence of her overbearing godfather (Michel Simon) and a petty gangster (Pierre Brasseur). Eventually, Jean and Nelly decide to leave town, but tempers escalate and then all hell breaks loose. Cinematography by Eugen Schüfftan (The Hustler).

Synopsis: International drug baron Henri Ferré (Jean Gabin), nicknamed 'Le Nantais', is tasked with restructuring a narcotics ring operating in Paris. The gangster boss Paul Liski provides him with a cover, a bar named Le Troquet, not realizing that Ferré is in fact working for the police. Far from supporting the drugs racket, Ferré's mission is to break it once and for all. Also starring Lino Ventura, Marcel Dalio, Albert Rémy, and Lila Kedrova. Cinematography by Pierre Montazel.
