For the week that ended on May 4th, FUNimation Entertainment's Dragon Ball Super: Broly remained at number one on the Blu-ray-only chart. The twentieth feature film in the Dragon Ball Z series, Broly was a modest success following its North American release last January. While the film garnered only okay critical comments (it has a 59% rating on Metacritic), it then went on to gross $30 million domestically on top of its estimated $8.5-million production budget (and it made an additional $80 million overseas). This week, Broly had a strong Blu-ray market share of 70%.

Next up on the Blu-ray-only sales ranking was Warner Home Entertainment's Aquaman. Director James Wan's superhero adventure proved one of WB and DC's most successful comic-book adaptations following its theatrical release last December. Aquaman might have netted only so-so critical comments (it has a 55% rating on Metacritic), but it was a box-office juggernaut, grossing over $1.1 billion worldwide on top of its estimated $160-to-$200-million production budget. Aquaman had a Blu-ray market share of 57% and sold 91% as many Blu-rays as Dragon Ball Super. On the overall package-media chart, the superhero adventure was the top seller, knocking Broly down to fourth place.

Finally, Universal Studios Home Entertainment's Glass rounded out the top three on the Blu-ray-only sales list. This controversial finale to director M. Night Shyamalan's Eastrail 177 Trilogy proved yet another financial success for its writer/director/producer. Yes, the film netted often poisonous critical notices (it has a 42% rating on Metacritic), but it still went on to gross over $246 million worldwide on top of its estimated $20-million production budget. On the Blu-ray-only list, Glass had an HD market share of 52% and sold 83% as many Blu-rays as Broly. Regarding the overall package-media list, the film came in second place where it sold almost the same amount of total units as Aquaman.
