Vinegar Syndrome has revealed that it is preparing Blu-ray releases of two genre films: John Huckert's
The Passing (1984) and James Hong and William Rice's
The Vineyard. The two releases will arrive on the market later this year.
The Vineyard
Synopsis: Dr. Elson Po is one of the world's most famous wine growers. He has a magic potion which has kept him handsome and alive during the centuries. However, lately the magic which rejuvenates him seem to be less and less effective. As a side project he make movies and invites a group of young, aspiring actors to his private island for a party, believing that the young, handsome actress Jezebel can be his new source of life. Starring James Hong, Karen Lorre, and Michael Wong.
The Passing
Synopsis: Two elderly World War II buddies are living - and dying - together in their small home. One becomes a patient where salvage-worthy, older attributes are combined with useable, younger body parts. He returns, unrecognized by the other. Starring James Carroll Plaster, Welton Benjamin Johnson, and John Huckert.
