In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Home Video has revealed that
they will bring '
Gone With the Wind: 70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's
Edition' and '
The Wizard of Oz: 70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition'
to Blu-ray sometime this year. The last time Warner spoke about these two titles
was last November, but today they have popped up for pre-order with a release
date expected soon.
Technical specs have not been released at this time, though you can expect the
typical 1080p VC-1 video and 5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtracks from the studio. No
special features have been announced at this time.
As these are both "Ultimate Collector's Edition" releases, you can expect them to
be part of a box set featuring collectibles associated with the release (similar to
previous UCE Blu-ray releases). We'll have more info as it becomes available.
