Film Movement: Remastered Farinelli Detailed for Blu-ray

Film Movement has officially announced and detailed its upcoming Blu-ray release of Gérard Corbiau's film Farinelli (1994), starring Stefano Dionisi, Enrico Lo Verso, and Elsa Zylberstein. The release will be available for purchase on April 23.
Synopsis: In the 18th century, no man could eclipse the fame or passion of the opera singer Farinelli. Castrated as a child to preserve his angelic voice, Farinelli (Stefano Dionisi) tours the royal courts of Europe with his brother and composer Riccardo (Enrico Lo Verso). The two are inseparable, seducing audiences both on and off the stage, while sharing everything – even lovers – until rivalry and obsession threaten to tear them apart.
Filled with romance and eroticism, this OscarⓇ-nominated drama from acclaimed producer Véra Belmont lavishly recreates the life and loves of one of history's most fascinating musical artists.
