British distributors Third Window Films have officially announced and detailed their upcoming Blu-ray release of Toshiaki Toyoda's film Blue Spring (2001), starring Ryûhei Matsuda, Sôsuke Takaoka, Takashi Tsukamoto, Eita Nagayama, and Hirofumi Arai. The release will be available for purchase on May 13.
Synopsis: One of the best examples of early 2000s Japanese cinema, Blue Spring is a brutal tale of youth anarchy in high school and launched the careers of many now popular actors such as Ryuhei Matsuda (The Raid 2), Hirofumi Arai (100 Yen Love) and Eita (Memories of Matsuko).
