Shout Factory has announced that it will bring two new titles to Blu-ray: Anne Bancroft's
Fatso (1980) and Scott Hicks's
Snow Falling on Cedars (1999). The two releases will be available for purchase in June.
Fatso
Synopsis: Dom DeLuise stars in a bittersweet romantic comedy.
All his life, Dominic DiNapoli (DeLuise) has found comfort in food. But when his sister Antoinette (Anne Bancroft, who also wrote and directed) implores him to stop eating himself into an early grave, Dominic begins bouncing from crash diets to the support group "Chubby Checkers" to all manner of binges in between. Throughout this painful process, Dominic discovers that what he needs most is a steady diet of love — from his family, from a new and lovely neighborhood acquaintance ... and most importantly, from himself.
This serio-comic battle of the bulge is a perfect showcase for DeLuise's talents and a charmingly sweet examination of a man who rediscovers his taste for life, happiness, and romance.
STREET DATE: JUNE 25.
