For the week that ended on January 19th, Universal Studios Home Entertainment's Halloween premiered at number one on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media charts. This horror rebootquel - the latest installment in the iconic Halloween franchise - found massive success after its release last October. It garnered solid critical notices (it has a 67% score on Metacritic), and then it went on to gross over $253 million worldwide on top of its estimated $10-million production budget. This week, the film had a good Blu-ray market share of 69%.

Next up on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales rankings was Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween. Director Ari Sandel's follow-up to the 2015 sleeper hit Goosebumps, Haunted Halloween was a much more modest success than its predecessor. The newer film got less positive critical notices (it has an 53% score on Metacritic), and it grossed over $46 million domestically on top of its estimated $35-million production budget. Haunted Halloween had a Blu-ray market share of 53% and sold 35% as many Blu-rays and 45% as many total units as Halloween.

Finally, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's Once Upon a Deadpool rounded out the top three on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales lists. The PG-13 re-edit of the raunchy action-comedy Deadpool 2 reminded viewers of how successful the R-rated version was. Deadpool 2 garnered fine critical notices (note its 66% Metacritic score) and grossed over $734 million worldwide on top of its estimated $110-million production budget. On the Blu-ray-only list, Once Upon a Deadpool had a great HD market share of 100% and sold 32% as many Blu-rays and 22% as many total units as Halloween.
