Scream Factory has announced that it will add to its Blu-ray catalog two new titles: John Hayes' Grave of the Vampire (1972) and Ed Hunt's The Brain (1988). The two releases will be available for purchase in April.
Please note that supplemental features to be included on these upcoming releases have not yet been finalized, and will be revealed as the street date for each approaches.
The Brain
Synopsis: Imagine a pulsating mass of gray matter, expanding in size and strength as it takes control of human minds and devours human bodies. It could never happen, right? Just watch Independent Thinking, starring Dr. Anthony Blakely (David Gale, Re-Animator), a hot new TV program. But as the show's ratings continue to soar, so does the suicide and murder rate among its viewers. What they don't know is that Dr. Blake has teamed with an alien brain and plans to gain control of all humanity.
STREET DATE: APRIL 30.
Grave of the Vampire
Synopsis: The vampire Caleb Croft has awakened from his unholy slumber — with an insatiable lust for blood and the pleasures of the flesh. A brutal attack on a pair of lovers allows for his desire to be temporarily fulfilled ... but his unspeakable acts leave the woman pregnant with his child. Ignoring all advice, she gives birth to the progeny of their unwanted union: James — who will only drink blood from his mother's breast. As James matures, he learns of his father's true nature, and sets out to destroy him.
