Mondo Macabro has launched a new sublabel, American Arcana, whose main focus will be U.S. exploitation and genre films. The first two titles that will be released via American Arcana, which will be co-branded by Something Weird Video, are The Ravager (1970) and The Bushwhacker (1968).
The upcoming titles will be part of a double feature release, which initially will have a limited run. Later in 2019, Mondo Macabro will have a standard Blu-ray version available for purchase at major etailers, including Amazon.
Both films have been recently and exclusively restored in 2K.
The Bushwhacker
A crazy mountain-man shoots down a small passenger plane. He then proceeds to stalk, torture and kill the survivors. Starring Dan Martin, Merci Montello, and Barbara Kline.
The Ravager
While serving in Vietnam, a demolitionist witnesses the brutal torture/rape/murder of a young woman...ultimately, he becomes a serial rapist and killer himself, preferring explosives as his murder weapon of choice. Starring Pierre Agostino, Jo Long, and Lynn Hayes.
