Insiders have revealed that Samsung is hard at work on two players set to debut right before the holiday season. The first, the
BD-P1400, will be an upgrade to the current
BD-P1200 model, and most likely priced around $500. The second will the
BD-UP5000, a combo player capable of playing both Blu-ray and HD DVD discs. This player is expected to retail for around $1000.
As of this time, no specs or dates have been announced, but watch for news as we move into the fall technology rush.
