Kino Lorber have announced that they will release three classics films with Alec Guinness: Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949), The Lavender Hill Mob (1951), and The Man in the White Suit (1951). The three releases are expected to arrive on the market early next year.

Kind Hearts and Coronets

Synopsis: In the early twentieth century, young Louis Mazzini vows to take revenge on his family, the D'Ascoynes, when he learns how they disinherited his mother. Working his way into their trust, Louis begins to bump off his distant relatives one by one, but complications set in when Edith D'Ascoyne, the widow of his first victim, falls in love with him. Also starring Dennis Price, Valerie Hobson, Joan Greenwood, and John Penrose.

The Lavender Hill Mob

Synopsis: Holland, a shy retiring man, dreams of being rich and living the good life. Faithfully, for 20 years, he has worked as a bank transfer agent for the delivery of gold bullion. One day he befriends Pendlebury, a maker of souvenirs. Holland remarks that, with Pendlebury's smelting equipment, one could forge the gold into harmless-looking toy Eiffel Towers and smuggle the gold from England into France. Soon after, the two plant a story to gain the services of professional criminals Lackery and Shorty. Together, the four plot their crime, leading to unexpected twists and turns. Also starring Stanley Holloway, Sidney James, Alfie Bass, and Marjorie Fielding.

The Man in the White Suit

Synopsis: An altruistic chemist invents a fabric that resists wear and stain as boon to humanity but both capital and labor realize it must be suppressed for economic reasons. Also starring Joan Greenwood, Cecil Parker, Michael Gough, and Ernest Thesiger.
