Warner Brothers Home Entertainment has revealed '
Planet Earth' has become the biggest high definition
moneymaker ever. Since the title was released April 24th on both Blu-ray and
HD DVD, it has generated $3.2M in sales from about 42,000 units sold. '
The
Departed' (released February 13), the former sales leader, has
generated $2.8M in sales from about 102,000 units sold.
Also revealed was that the next BBC high definition releases will be the
Oscar-winning 'A Room With a View: Special Edition' and the Peabody Award-
winning natural-history documentary 'Galapagos'. Both are due out sometime
this fall.
