The American Genre Film Archive (AGFA) and Something Weird Video have confirmed that they are preparing a Blu-ray release of Andy Milligan's film
Fleshpot On 42nd Street (1973), starring Laura Cannon, Neil Flanagan, Harry Reems, Paul Matthews, Dorin McGough, Richard Towers, and Fred J. Lincoln. The release is set to arrive on the market in February 2019.
Synopsis: Andy Warhol never hired a young John Waters to make a sex-fueled soap opera for $50. But if he had, it would have felt like
Fleshpot On 42nd Street.
Dusty Cole (Laura Cannon) and Cherry Lane (Neil Flanagan, star of
Guru, the Mad Monk) are streetwalkers with a mission: survival! After a potential hook-up goes bad, Dusty quits Cherry and the life and shacks up with new beau Bob. However, tragedy lurks around the corner.
Filmed guerilla-style on Long Island by legendary DIY filmmaker Andy Milligan (
The Ghastly Ones),
Fleshpot On 42nd Street is a dreamy, psychotic melodrama that exists in a space-time continuum known only to itself.
