Alpha Director's Cut Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced that it will release on Blu-ray Albert Hughes' film Alpha (2018), starring Kodi Smit-McPhee, Leonor Varela, Natassia Malthe, Priya Rajaratnam, and Jens Hultén. The release will be available for purchase on November 13.

Studio synopsis: An epic adventure set in the last Ice Age, ALPHA tells a fascinating, visually stunning story that shines light on the origins of man's best friend. While on his first hunt with his tribe's most elite group, a young man is injured and must learn to survive alone in the wilderness. Reluctantly taming a lone wolf abandoned by its pack, the pair learn to rely on each other and become unlikely allies, enduring countless dangers and overwhelming odds in order to find their way home before winter arrives.

Alpha was directed by Albert Hughes from a story by Albert Hughes and screenplay by Daniele Sebastian Wiedenhaupt. The film was produced by Andrew Rona and Albert Hughes and executive produced by Guo Guangchang, Louise Rosner and Stuart M. Besser.
