For the week that ended on September 22nd, Universal Studios Home Entertainment's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom debuted at number one on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media charts. The direct sequel to Jurassic World - and the most recent installment in the successful Jurassic Park franchise - this dinosaur adventure was another massive commercial success for its distributor. While the film scored mediocre critical notices (it has a 51% Metacritic score), it went on to gross over $1.3 billion worldwide on top of its estimated $170-million production budget. This week, the film had a respectable Blu-ray market share of 65%.

Next up on the Blu-ray-only sales ranking was Marvel and Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Avengers: Infinity War. This third entry in the joint The Avengers series - and the most narratively consequential MCU feature of 2018 - Infinity War has proven to be one of the year's biggest successes. After receiving decent critical notices (a 68% score on Metacritic), the film then went on to gross over $2 billion worldwide on top of its massive estimated production budget (somewhere in the realm of $315-to-$400 million). On the Blu-ray-only list, Infinity War had a good HD market share of 65% and sold 6% as many Blu-rays as Fallen Kingdom. Regarding the overall package-list chart, the film dropped to fourth place (behind Hocus Pocus and Ocean's 8, respectively) and sold, again, 6% as many total units as the Jurassic Park adventure.

Finally, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's Deadpool 2 rounded out the top three on the Blu-ray-only sales list. The much-anticipated follow-up to Tim Miller and Ryan Reynolds' 2016 smash hit, this raunchy action-comedy proved almost as successful as its predecessor. Deadpool 2 garnered fine critical notices (note its 66% Metacritic score) and grossed over $734 million worldwide on top of its estimated $110-million production budget. In terms of just Blu-rays, Deadpool 2 had a solid HD market share of 65% and sold 6% as many Blu-rays as the Jurassic Park sequel. For the overall package-media list, the superhero action-comedy came in fifth place and also sold 6% as many total units as Fallen Kingdom.
