Warner Archive announced today that it will add various new titles to its Blu-ray catalog. Amongst them are Queen of Outer Space, Looker, and Big Wednesday. The releases will be available for purchase later this year.
Looker
Synopsis: That TV commercial actress is so seductive she could sell you anything. She's only a computer-generated illusion. What about the real beauty who was the computer's model? Sorry, you can't meet her: She and others like her have been murdered.
Writer/director Michael Crichton (ER, Coma) reaches into his brain-teasing bag of tricks for a mesmerizing thriller full of unfriendly persuasion generated by high-tech trickery. Albert Finney stars as a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon whose supermodel clients start dying mysteriously. Susan Dey plays his latest patient, also now in peril. And James Coburn is the head of a research facility which has developed a subtly hypnotic way to sell things. Take a good look at sleek, chic, scary Looker. There's a lot more than meets the eye.

If you like nifty '50s horror, The Cyclops is the kind of over-the-top frightfest that'll have you spilling your popcorn. Among the cast: Lon Chaney (The Wolf Man) as a manipulative wheeler-dealer who'd just love to become a uranium millionaire...no matter the danger to the rest of the expedition. Writer/director Bert I. Gordon (Beginning of the End, The Amazing Colossal Man) masterminds the menace.

John Milius (Apocalypse Now, Red Dawn) directs and coscripts with a passion for the ultimate ride and a truthful feel for those turbulent times. Stars Jan-Michael Vincent and William Katt are accomplished surfers; colead Gary Busey (Point Break, 1991) learned for the role. And the vivid camerawork drops you inside awesome barrels of ocean blue.
