Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is preparing a Blu-ray release of director Christopher Cain's thriller
The Principal (1987), starring Jim Belushi, Louis Gossett Jr., Rae Dawn Chong, Michael Wright, and Esai Morales. The upcoming release is set to arrive on the market on September 25.
Synopsis: Burglary. Drugs. Assault.. The students at Brandel High are more than principal Rick Latimer (James Belushi) bargained for. Gangs fight to control the school using knives - even guns - when they have to. When Latimer and the head of security (Louis Gossett Jr.) try to clean up the school and stop the narcotics trade, they run up against a teenage mafia. A violent confrontation on the campus leads to a deadly showdown with the drug dealer's gang, and one last chance for Latimer to save his career... and his life.
