Scream Factory: SteelBook Edition of The Thing with 4K Remaster Coming Soon

Scream Factory announced today that it is preparing a SteelBook Edition of director John Carpenter's film The Thing, starring Kurt Russell, Wilford Brimley, T.K. Carter, David Clennon, and Keith David. The release, which will be sourced from a 4K master of the film, will be available for purchase on November 6.

DESCRIPTION:

• This is a 3-Disc Blu-ray set. Disc 1 will include a more recent 2017 4K REMASTER OF THE FILM provided by the licensor. Discs 2 and 3 will be the same content that is currently available on the 2016 Collector's Edition release.



• Only 10,000 units of the steelbook are being produced total.



• The artwork you see pictured is by artist Nathanael Marsh (who also illustrated the prior Carpenter-themed SteelBooks, including Halloween II & III).
