For the week that ended on May 5th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Peter Rabbit debuted at number one on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media charts. A slapstick-heavy interpretation of the popular children's stories, Peter Rabbit was a modest success when it premiered last February. The film only scored so-so critical takes (a 51% Metacritic rating), but viewers were more supportive, with audiences helping it to gross over $114 million domestically on top of its estimated $50-million production budget. This week, Peter Rabbit had a Blu-ray market share of 54%.

Next up on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales rankings was Warner Home Entertainment's 12 Strong. The film, a rousing adventure about a covert military operation post-9/11, was another modestly-scaled box-office hit. 12 Strong inspired uninspired critical notices (a 54% Metacritic rating), although viewers turned out to the tune of a worldwide gross of $64 million on top of the film's estimated $35-million production budget. 12 Strong had an HD market share of 51% and sold 53% as many Blu-rays and 56% as many overall package-media units as Peter Rabbit.

Finally, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's Fox's The Greatest Showman filled out the top-three spots on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales lists. This musical biopic about the life and times of P.T. Barnum (Hugh Jackman), The Greatest Showman proved a sleeper hit with audiences last December. The film garnered mediocre critical notices (a 48% Metacritic rating), but viewers still supported the picture, helping it net a worldwide gross of $424 million on top of its estimated $84-million production budget. The Greatest Showman had a solid HD market share of 60% and sold 50% as many Blu-rays as Peter Rabbit. Regarding the overall package-media list, the film sold 45% as many total units as the Peter Rabbit picture.
