Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has dated the upcoming Blu-ray release of acclaimed director Andrey Zvyagintsev's latest film, Loveless (2017), starring Maryana Spivak, Aleksey Rozin, Matvei Novikov, Andris Keiss, and Yanina Hope. The release will be available for purchase on June 12th.
Last year, Loveless was selected to represent Russia in the Best Foreign Language Film category of the 90th Academy Awards.
Synopsis: In Loveless, Zhenya and Boris are going through a vicious divorce marked by resentment, frustration and recriminations. Already embarking on new lives, each with a new partner, they are impatient to start again, to turn the page – even if it means threatening to abandon their 12-year-old son Alyosha. Until, after witnessing one of their fights, Alyosha disappears.
*Other films from director Zvyagintsev that are already available on Blu-ray or have been announced for release include Leviathan, Elena, The Banishment, and The Return.
