Australian label Umbrella Entertainment has informed us that it plans to add a number of new titles to its Blu-ray catalog this summer. Amongst them are Martin Campbell's futuristic action thriller No Escape (1994), Geoff Murphy's sci-fi thriller The Quiet Earth (1985), and Tony Williams' thriller Next of Kin (1982).
Please note that supplemental features to be included on these upcoming releases have not yet been finalized.
No Escape
In the year 2022, society has created the ultimate prison - ABSOLOM, a remote jungle island where you're abandoned and left to the mercy of the other inmates. Sentenced to life for murdering his commanding officer, Marine Captain John Robbins (Ray Liotta) has been banished to the island prison. There he finds himself in the middle of a bloody battle between the Outsiders, led by the brutal Marek (Stuart Wilson, Hot Fuzz) and the Insiders, led by the benevolent Father (Lance Henriksen). Robbins wants nothing of their fight and only one thing - to escape!

Razorback
A wild, vicious pig terrorizes the Australian outback. The first victim is a small child who is killed. The child's granddad is brought to trial for killing the child but aquitted. The next victim is an American TV-journalist. Her husband Carl gets there and starts to search for the truth. The local inhabitants won't really help him, but he is joined by a hunter and a female farmer to find the beast.
Newly restored from a 4K scan, Russell Mulcahy's outback animal rampage is unleashed in a brand new edition with newly commissioned special features.

The Navigator: A Medieval Odyssey
A young boy in 14th century Cumbria (north of England) keeps getting visions he cannot explain. His village has so far been spared from the black death, but the villagers fear its imminent arrival. With the boy as their guide, a group set out to dig a hole to the other side of the world, so as to fulfil the visions and save the village. At the 'other side' is 20th century New Zealand !.. N.B. Flips from B+W to colour frequently.
Vincent Ward's striking tale of medieval pilgrims travelling through time to save their village, was nominated for the Palme d'Or at Cannes, and comes to Blu-ray newly remastered from a 2K scan for the first time in the world.

Receiving huge critical acclaim, and winner of 8 New Zealand Film Awards, this compelling sci-fi thriller has been rightly compared to the Twilight Zone for its chilling portrayal of a barren, post-apocalyptic world from which there is only one means of escape.

Spirits of the Air, Gremlins of the Clouds
The debut feature from director Alex Proyas (Dark City, The Crow), this post-apocalyptic vision arrives newly re-mastered from a 2K scan on blu-ray for the first time in the world.
