Rialto Pictures will present the recent 4K restorations of director Henri-Georges Clouzot's classic films Le Corbeau a.k.a. The Raven (1943) and Quai des Orfevres a.k.a. Jenny Lamour (1947) tomorrow, Friday 13, at Film Forum in New York City. Next month, additional screenings will be held in Los Angeles, CA, and in June in Baltimore, MD.

Le Corbeau

Salacious accusations swirl as a series of poison pen letters circulates through a small French town – all signed with the nom-de-plume "The Raven." The primary target of the letters, Dr. Rémy Germain (Pierre Fresnay), struggles to deduce the identity of the anonymous rumormonger before the town destroys itself. 4K DCP.

Quai des Orfèvres

When the sleazy movie financier who has been pursuing nightclub performer Jenny Lamour (Suzy Delair) turns up dead, her jealous husband (Bernard Blier) is the prime suspect in Inspector Antoine's (Louis Jouvet) investigation for the Quai des Orfèvres, France's Scotland Yard. Winner of Best Director Award at the Venice Film Festival in Best Director in 1947. 4K DCP.

Earlier this year, StudioCanal released the 4K restorations on Blu-ray in the United Kingdom. You can see our listings and reviews of these releases here and here.
