AnimEigo to Release Newly Remastered Gunsmith Cats on Blu-ray

U.S. label AnimEigo will release on Blu-ray the Gunsmith Cats animation series after successfully completing a public funding campaign. The release is expected to arrive on the market later this year.

Synopsis: Based on Ken'ichi Sonoda's original graphic novel series, the animation features bounty hunters Rally Vincent and Minnie May Hopkins running afoul of a gunrunning operation, a Russian assassin, ATF agents and slimeball politicians in the streets of Chicago. The three-episode animation series ran in Japan from 1995 to 1996, and ADV Films previously released the series on DVD in 2001.
