The Cohen Media Group has detailed its upcoming Blu-ray release of Ziad Doueiri's new film The Insult (2017), starring Adel Karam, Camille Salameh, and Kamel El Basha. The release will be available for purchase on May 1.
The film was Lebanon's first-ever Oscar submission to the Best Foreign Language Film category of the Academy Awards.
Synopsis: In today's Beirut, an insult blown out of proportion finds Toni, a Lebanese Christian, and Yasser, a Palestinian refugee, in court. From secret wounds to traumatic revelations, the media circus surrounding the case puts Lebanon through a social explosion, forcing Toni and Yasser to reconsider their lives and prejudices.
