CES 2009: MSI Displays BD Desktops, Notebooks

A highlight of the MSI Computer booth at this year's Consumer Electronics show was the company's new Wind NetOn series of desktop PCs, including 22-inch AE2203 and 19-inch AP1900, AE1901 and AP1902. The AE2203 comes equipped with full HD compatibility and an optional Blu-ray drive, a first for MSI's desktop line.


Also showcased were a variety of notebooks available on the market, offering full 1080p displays and built-in Blu-ray drives. The Gaming Series with AMD chips includes the GX711 and the GX735, which have LCD resolutions of 1920x1200. The smaller GX630 model uses a resolution of 1680x1050, as do the Intel chip models of GX620 and GX720. The smallest Intel model in the Gaming Series, the GX400, has a native 1280x800 resolution. MSI's Entertainment Series, with AMD chips, include the EX710 (1440x900), EX630 (1368x768, 16:9), and EX310 (1280x800). The Intel models consist of the EX705 (1440x900), EX620 (1366x768), and EX300 and EX400, each at 1280x800. All notebooks are equipped with an HDMI output.
