U.S. label Vinegar Syndrome has detailed its February batch of Blu-ray releases: Jamaa Fanaka's Penitentiary II (1982), Norman J. Warren's Prey (1977), and Bernard Morris' Mary! Mary! (1977).

Penitentiary II

Synopsis: Martel "Too Sweet" Gordone (Leon Isaac Kennedy) has just been paroled. Trying diligently to stay out of trouble, he rekindles an old fling with his former girlfriend Clarisse and begins a job as a delivery roller-skater. But when his prison arch nemesis, Half Dead, breaks out of jail and murders Clarisse, Too Sweet is forced to return to his old life and seek vengeance the only way he knows how…

Co-starring Ernie Hudson (THE HUMAN TORNADO & GHOSTBUSTERS) and the one and only Mr. T (THE A-TEAM & ROCKY III), Jamaa Fanaka's sequel to his acclaimed 1979 classic, PENITENTIARY II ups the intensity, ferocity, and outrageous action of the original. Vinegar Syndrome brings this early 80s action classic to Blu-ray, newly restored from its original 35mm camera negative and packed with explosive extra features.

  • BRAND NEW 2K RESTORATION of the film from the 35mm original camera negative

Mary! Mary!

Synopsis: Ned (John Leslie) loves his beautiful wife Mary (Constance Money) but is unable to satisfy her due to his sexual dysfunction. No matter what he tries, nothing is able to help. One day, he pledges to give his soul to the Devil in exchange for the virility he lacks and, offering to take him up on his proposition, the Devil obliges. Ned quickly finds himself able to enjoy all of the sensual experiences he'd dreamed of but is unaware that the Devil has some macabre plans for Ned and all of his new sexual playmates…

Hailed by critics as one of the most erotic films of the 1970s, Bernard Morris' MARY! MARY! is a quick paced and star studded Faustian classic complete with a hilariously sexy car chase, cinematography by Henning Schellerup (Silent Night Deadly Night) and supporting performances from Sharon Thorpe, Jon Martin, Rene Bond and many others. Upon being discovered by a reclusive lesbian couple, who mistake him for an injured drifter, they invite him to recover in their isolated home, unaware of his innate bloodlust…

While ostensibly a science fiction film, Norman J. Warren's PREY is a brooding study in sexual desire and loneliness, punctuated by shocking violence and suspense. Equal parts bloody and erotic, Vinegar Syndrome presents this masterpiece of British horror on Blu-ray, in a brand new, director approved restoration from its 35mm negative, and fully uncut for the first time since its 80s VHS release.

Sessions of Love Therapy/101 Acts of Love

Synopsis: The 'white coater' sub-genre was the most popular trend in early erotic features. These ostensibly educational films skirted censorship laws and as such could present the most explicit scenes with minimal legal concern. However, many enterprising filmmakers took the opportunity to flex their artistic muscles and created works, such as these, which were as visually striking as they were titillating.

Sessions of Love Therapy: A sexual psychologist has created an educational film featuring four young and attractive couples with sexual problems. Through the film, they each learn to accept and enjoy the pleasures and fantasies of their partners. Featuring Rene Bond, Sandy Dempsey, Suzanne Fields, Ric Lutz and many more superstars of early erotica.

101 Acts of Love: Enter a world of unlimited pleasures with 101 Acts of Love. Dr. Ann Foster demonstrates the beauty and variety of erotic stimulation through sensual demonstrations. This early white coater was one of the biggest hits for this short-lived sub-genre and features some of the most elaborate and extravagant camerawork present in any such film.
