Kino: The Outlaw and The Soldier Blu-ray Releases Detailed

Kino Lorber have dated and detailed their upcoming Blu-ray releases of Howard Hughes' The Outlaw (1943) and James Glickenhaus' The Soldier (1982). The two releases will be available for purchase in February.

The Outlaw

Synopsis: The life of legendary outlaw Billy the Kid, including his partnership with Doc Holliday and his clashes with lawman Pat Garrett. The film was notorious in its day because of producer/director Howard Hughes' concentration on newcomer Jane Russell's cleavage, and national release in America was delayed by some years.

*The 2K restoration of The Outlaws was completed by Lobster Films. (Other notable restorations from the French company include Georges Méliès' A Trip to the Moon, Harry O. Hoyt's The Lost World, and Marcel L'Herbier's L'Inhumaine). Special Features and Technical Specs:

The Soldier

Synopsis: Synopsis: Terrorists take over a plutonium bomb and threaten to detonate it in a Saudi Arabian oil field. A special anti-terrorist unit is sent in to stop them. Original soundtrack by Tangerine Dream (Micheal Mann's Thief). Starring Ken Wahl, Alberta Watson, Jeremiah Sullivan, William Prince, and Joaquim de Almeida.
