U.S. label Code Red has dated and detailed its upcoming Blu-ray release of cult Italian director Antonio Margheriti's film The Last Hunter a.k.a. Hunter of the Apocalypse (1980), starring David Warbeck, Tisa Farrow, Tony King, Bobby Rhodes, and Margit Evelyn Newton. The release, which will be distributed by Kino Lorber, will be available for purchase on February 13.
Synopsis: Hyper-violent action film from cult Italian helmer Antonio Margheriti. Two soldiers (David Warbeck, Tony King) and a newswoman (Tisa Farrow) go on a search-and-destroy mission to find a demoralizing Viet Cong radio transmitter behind enemy lines. Also starring Margit Evelyn Newton, Bobby Rhodes, and Massimo Vanni. Cinematography by Riccardo Pallottini (Man from Deep River, Castle of Blood).
