U.S. label Scream Factory has confirmed that it plans to add two new titles to its Blu-ray catalog: Luca Bercovici's
Rockula and Larry Cohen's
The Ambulance. The two releases will arrive on the market in March.
Supplemental features to be included on these upcoming releases are currently in progress.
The Ambulance
The label has confirmed that the upcoming release will be sourced from a
BRAND NEW MASTER.
Synopsis: One minute Josh Baker (Eric Roberts, The Dark Knight) is meeting the woman of his dreams. The next, he's watching her whisked away by a mysterious ambulance that never arrives at the local hospital. Doubted by the police, Josh is forced to carry on a one-man crusade that leads to a discovery more frightening than his worst fears.
This non-stop ride filled with action, suspense and heart-stopping thrills comes from cult filmmaker Larry Cohen (The Stuff, It's Alive, Q: The Winged Serpent) and features an all-star cast including James Earl Jones (the Star Wars films), Red Buttons (The Poseidon Adventure) and Stan Lee!
STREET DATE: MARCH 13.
Rockula
The label has confirmed that the upcoming release will be sourced from a
BRAND NEW MASTER.
Ralph (Dean Cameron, Summer School) is just your typical, average vampire with love in his heart, music in his veins — and a curse on his head. Every 22 years, poor Ralph is doomed to lose his soulmate, Mona, at the hands of a rhinestone-peg-legged pirate brandishing a large hambone (just go with us on this). But this time around, with the help of his newly-formed band Rockula, Ralph is determined to crush the curse once and for all — and show Mona that when you're a vampire, true love is eternal … and rock 'n' roll never dies!
Directed by Luca Bercovici (Ghoulies) and featuring an eclectic cast of co-stars, including cult favorite Susan Tyrrell (Forbidden Zone) and recording stars Thomas Dolby, Toni Basil, and Bo Diddley, Rockula is an absolutely batty, bloody bizarre comedy!
