U.S. label Scream Factory has provided updates for two upcoming Bu-ray releases: Scott Glosserman's Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon and Nico Mastorakis' Nightmare at Noon. Both will be available for purchase in March.
Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon
The label has confirmed that the upcoming release will be sourced from a BRAND NEW MASTER and will include all legacy supplemental features from the previous DVD release, as well as exclusive new material. The release will also come with a slipcover. Also, included below is the newly commissioned cover art for the release.
Synopsis: You know legendary maniacs Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger. Now meet Leslie Vernon, the next great psycho-slasher. Nathan Baesel (Invasion) stars as Vernon, a good-natured killing machine who invites a documentary film crew to follow him as he reminisces with his murder mentor (Scott Wilson, The Walking Dead), evades his psychiatrist/nemesis (Robert Englund, A Nightmare On Elm Street), deconstructs Freudian symbolism, and meticulously plots his upcoming slaughter spree. But when the actual carnage begins, where do you draw the line between voyeuristic thrills, mythic evil, and good old-fashioned slasher movie mayhem? Angela Goethals (24) and Zelda Rubinstein (Poltergeist) co-star in this ingeniously twisted and award-winning shocker that Film Threat hails as "a masterpiece."

Synopsis: When three tourists stop at a roadside diner in Canyonland, they become the unwitting victims of a lethal scientific experiment. A deranged powerbroker and his high-tech army have sealed off the town and contaminated the water supply with a deadly toxin which turns calm, normal people into raving lunatics. Joining forces with the local sheriff and his daughter, this small band of holdouts wage an explosive life-or-death battle for survival.
Directed by Nico Mastorakis (The Zero Boys) , this thriller includes a B-Movie all-star cast featuring Wings Hauser (Vice Squad), Bo Hopkins (Mutant), George Kennedy (Airport '77), Brion James (Blade Runner) and Kimberly Beck (Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter).
