Kino Video have dated and detailed their upcoming Blu-ray release of dierctor Lawrence Schiller's film The Executioner's Song (1982), starring Tommy Lee Jones, Christine Lahti, Rosanna Arquette, Eli Wallach, and Steven Keats. The two-disc set will be available for purchase on January 2.
Synopsis: Released from prison in 1976, Gary Gilmore attempts to go straight but ends up embarking on a robbery spree that culminates in two cold-blooded murders. Arrested and sentenced to be executed, Gilmore spends his final days as a poster boy for anti-death penalty activists. Adapted by Norman Mailer from his own book. Originally aired in two parts on Nov. 28 and 29, 1982. *Includes both the 135-Minute Director's Cut and the 188-Minute Television Cut.
