U.S. Shout Factory has dated its upcoming Blu-ray release of director Martin Rosen's film The Plague Dogs (1982), starring John Hurt, Christopher Benjamin, James Bolam, Nigel Hawthorne, and Warren Mitchell. The release will be available for purchase on February 13.
Supplemental features to be included on this upcoming release have not yet been finalized.
Synopsis A stunning animated adaptation of Richard Adams' novel, The Plague Dogs follows a pair of dogs, Snitter and Rowf, who escape from a research laboratory and try to survive in the wild with the help of a cunning fox. The lab director tries to keep their escape quiet, but as an increasing number of sheep are found killed, word leaks out … together with rumors that the dogs might be plague carriers.
