Warner Archive has announced that it will add four additional titles to its Blu-ray catalog: Doc Hollywood (1991), Dolores Claiborne (1995), Battle Cry (1955). Auntie Mame (1958). The three releases will be available for purchase this November.

Doc Hollywood

Synopsis: "Beverly Hills. The most beautiful women in the world. Plastic surgery. What do these three things have in common?" asks Dr. Ben Stone (Michael J. Fox). "Me, in less than a week!" It turns out to be an eye-opening week.

And Doc Hollywood turns out to be a witty charmer. Stone is a newly minted MD whose medical fast-lane cruise takes a small-town detour. Grady, South Carolina, Squash Capital of the South, is home to salt-of-the-earth folks (Julie Warner, Woody Harrelson, Bridget Fonda, David Ogden Stiers, Barnard Hughes) who give the West Coast-bound hotshot the seasoning he lacks. Doc Hollywood is a surefire prescription for comedy cheer! Special Features and Technical Specs:
  • Original Trailer
  • Optional English SDH subtitles for the main feature
STREET DATE: NOVEMBER 28.

Dolores Claiborne

Synopsis: Selena St. George stares at the note and news clipping: Her estranged mother Dolores has been accused of murder. Grudgingly, Selena returns to her tiny Maine hometown to offer help. Not that she believes Dolores is innocent. In truth, she harbors suspicions going back 20 years.

Kathy Bates, who won a Best Actress Oscar® for Misery,* scores in another chilling Stephen King story (directed by Taylor Hackford) as tough-talking Dolores Claiborne. Jennifer Jason Leigh is wrenching as embittered Selena. The two circle warily, piecing together past and present, memory and fact, to reveal the startling truth behind two mysterious deaths.

Special Features and Technical Specs:
  • Audio Commentary from Director Taylor Hackford
  • Original Theatrical Trailer
  • Optional English SDH subtitles for the main feature
STREET DATE: NOVEMBER 21.

Battle Cry

Synopsis: A guitar-picking good ol' boy. A clean-cut all-American. A Navajo. A bookworm. A lumberjack. A slum kid. All enter Marine boot camp to be trained, hardened and ready to answer their country's Battle Cry.

Scripted by Leon M. Uris from his own novel, directed by action master Raoul Walsh and starring a who's who of '50s movie stars, Battle Cry is an epic ode to World War II Marine heroism and homefront sacrifice, a saga following recruits from boot camp to a New Zealand base of operations to the war they knew would someday come their way: the bloody invasion of Saipan. Enlist now alongside the fighting men and stalwart women of Battle Cry for boisterous tenderness and gung-ho excitement.

Special Features and Technical Specs:
  • Original Trailer
  • Optional English SDH subtitles for the main feature
Auntie Mame

Synopsis: Ten-year-old orphan Patrick Dennis has come to live with his nearest relative, and in the high times ahead, he's not going to believe his luck. Nor will you, because Patrick's relation is played by one of Hollywood's grandest dames. Reprising her Broadway triumph, Rosalind Russell received her fourth Oscar nomination and third Golden Globe Award as the marvelous madcap woman who lives life to the hilt.

Auntie Mame brings to bubbly life the mayhem Mame and her cronies create while guiding Patrick's fortunes. "Life is a banquet," Mame says, "and most poor suckers are starving to death!" With wit, style and a seasoned cast to dish humor and heart with gusto, Auntie Mame is a full-course meal of entertainment magic.
